BMW Rear Boot Leak Fixed that blows the Amplifier

So a common problem with BMW is all of a sudden the idrive says "no warning tones". You have no sounds in the car, no radio, no music, bluetooth also stops. This is due to water getting into the compartment that houses the Amplifier in the rear boot. Water also gets in on the other side where the battery is housed.
UPDATE.
FINALLY HAVE A NEW AMP INSTALLED FROM BMW. ESCALATED IT AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR A GOODWILL APPLICATION. FIRST APPLICATION WAS REJECTED. APPEAL WAS SUCCESSFUL. BMW AGREED TO PAY 80% TOWARDS THE COST OF A NEW AMP.

It also happened to me.  The first time I took off all the trims and checked the leaks from the panoramic, then I took the rear  bumper down 10 times  because I thought it was from the gaskets on the impact bumper because the water was somehow getting into the struts and then leaking on  corners to the amplifier and battery....a nightmare...
The amp can be fixed by a skilled electronist if it is not too damaged
I hope this is the fix ...

Lost my sound yesterday and while getting out some luggage I discovered the whole side was wet. I suspect the water comes from somewhere else. unfortunately the amp was sitting on water so I cleaned it it out an blew it out a bit...hoping it will still work :(

Got this issue on my 3GT aswell and Sytner said because it’s water damage the warranty is void! Seen all sorts online and even documentation from BMW through their bulletins about how this happens. How did you appeal for the Goodwill? Because they quoting me over £2k as they need to inspect and replace 😢
