Male infertility is now the most common reason for couples to seek IVF - but men often feel alone.
And the stigma is such that – despite male infertility being as common as female infertility – men feel alone and suffer in silence.
The Victoria Derbyshire programme’s Adam Eley looks at what needs to be done.

God bless you both. It should never be ashamed, we’re all humans. My husband and I were trying for another baby 7yrs ago. For two years, pregnancy test after another, no luck. I was getting frustrated, thinking I was putting my body through stress, beside my age being a factor. Finally after yrs of trying, we stop. I thought “God blessed me with two kids, I’m happy with both”. Gave thanks to God, a yr passed, and I was pregnant. Going through blood test, & ultrasound, this nurse nearly took us a ride to hell. Due to my age she was insisting for me to abort the baby. She leaned more on the baby with difficult life, cleft lip, autism, and handicapped. That I should really think about having abortion. That was not an option. I can’t do that. We we’re ready for the challenge. They took test every week. I went back to my Doctor who delivered my older child. Told him what we went through. He requested the results, looked them over. Said they are trying to make money through insurance. Anyways, I gave birth to a healthy baby, who brightens up our lives. Truly a blessing.

Watching this I never realize that this is something really brought to attention. Women are always the focal point when it comes to infertility.

Do you choose to be born blind, deaf, paralyzed, allergic to this to that? No, you don’t. Just because being infertile has something to do with one’s sexuality, it is such a taboo for humans. Nothing to be ashamed of.

I'm not a dad. Unfortunately, my wife and I are infertile. Also, she has had a rare neurological condition for several years. I work full time and I am her caregiver. So, this really hits the spot. Thank you so much.

I have azoospermia. I passed many phases in my life. Denial, wanting to leave my wife, afraid of what people would say....anything you can imagine. I wanted to get a divorce. I couldnt bare the thought that I will not make my wife a mother. Its a long and difficult road but you have to keep your head up and never look down. God doesnt give you something that you cannot bare.

You don’t realise how lucky you are when you never have to try to father children. I lucky enough to have 3 without even trying. My heart goes out to these people. I sincerely hope science finds a way when everyone that wants children can be parents.

This happened with myself and my parter, they presumed I was the issue and ignored him. it took us 2 years to get him tested, and it turned out he was the issue and was diagnosed as sub fertile... we're still trying to this day.

Adoption.
Look, I've the same issue to put short. Dead sperm. My partner and I have been strongly looking at adoption. I think it's far better, even if I could have children. You can skip he infant age, you can choose a a young child based on age, gender, group etc but over all. Reduce the amount of children in orphanages and stop producing to the over population of the Earth. (Little bit hyperbole but you get me).

That being said. It's true. Women get a lot more compassionate support with infertility. My doctor? "Yeah mate. Your sperm isn't lazy. It's dead". A FEMALE DOCTOR MIND YOU.

That's what happens when our Government is unable or unwilling to tackle obesity, drug abuse, alcohol and smoking. Large corporations continue to make their profits and the Government thinks higher taxes will solve the issue. It wont. Plastic bottles have chemicals in them which increases infertility. Will the Government try and reduce plastic consumption?

I had this problem as well, zero sperm count. How ever the do tori immediately found a varicocele and recommended surgery. It worked out. Strange that the NHS doesn’t do it.

Don’t listen to people that say just adopt!!! It’s not selfish wanting to pass down your family name, genes and have your own child just because some people need help conceiving doesn’t mean their right to have their own kid should be taken away! Adoption is selfish your basically just giving away your kid cause you refuse to take responsibility for your own actions! And most people don’t wanna raise someone else’s mistake and basically just babysit for 18 years and be constantly reminded that they couldn’t have kids so they had to raise someone else’s instead!

My husband went from 6 million per ML with 20% motility too low for IUI to 35 million per ML with 80% motility just by exercising and being healthier!

now a days it's a normal things my husband has infertility we are trying for baby 2 years but still no luck. but i never pointing him. i really love my baby..we don't enough of money for treatment. we believe God only.
