Thank you, Rick, for highlighting one of the best experiences I've ever had. Air Cadets made an incredible impact in my life and I will always, always cherish the memories and friends I made.

im an air cadet and i have loved this video for as long as i can remember and it was one of the reason i joined cadets, and as someone who has been in a glider before this video definitely does gliding justice!!

That was great, bringing back lots of memories. I was in the Cadets from 1980 to 1984. I did summer camp three times, Air Studies (1981), Glider Pilot (1982), Power Pilot (1983), and then worked on ground crew my last year at the Greenwood, Nova Scotia Glider School. I also did Air Studies and Glider Pilot training there and did Power Pilot at Moncton Airport, the Moncton Flying Club. Meet a lot of great people, made some good friends, and had a great time. The Cadets is a wonderful organization and I highly recommend it for all teens.

My first and only experience in a glider was with the Air Cadets.  One of the best experiences I've ever had.  Great flying!  Warrant 2!

I've been involved with air cadets in one way or another for over 45 years and this segment of rmr is one of the best recruiting things I've seen yet. Bravo zulu!

That was awesome; brought back memories of my son in Air Cadets for 5 years up until he graduated; I also had the opportunity to go up on the glider; it was wonderful; I think my heart stopped momentarily when the rope broke free ha ha ha would do it again :)

Air Cadets awarded me a flying scholarship in 1971 and I have made aviation my career from light aircraft to Boeing 777 (current). This group gave me a piece of an important foundation that provided skills and opened doors that otherwise would not have been available. Excellent video that reflects well on the Air Cadet League of Canada. Congratulations to Rick Mercer and for heavens sake, someone send him a red knob!

Well done, Mr Mercer! The Cadet program is one of the best (if not the best) youth programs around. We are proud of these young men and women. It's rather amazing to think that because they haven't qualified for driver's license, a parent or Officer must drive the Cadet to the air field so they can get in a plane and fly. How wonderful is that, sir? Glad you enjoyed the ride. Capt T Parker

I did my Glider at Rivers, Manitoba in 1975 and my Power in Edmonton in 1977. Now reaching the end of a 43 year career as a pilot having flown 51 aircraft varieties and just under 25 thousand hours total time. Thanks Air Cadet Leaque of gave me a headstart in a fantastic career! And Rick, I worked with your brother at Air Atlantic too.

I am a former air cadet and this really brings back memories. Wouldn't be where I am today without that program!
