Same happened with me, I faced lot of difficulties in death claim of my father. I kept running from LIC office to customer care, twitter, complaint in IRDA, sent mail to LIC higher level management and also did the RTA FOR the same. But as a government organization they don't care of anything. I kept running for more than one year and it didn't get resolved and in last I lost hope and faith in all these. I know all these gyan complain here and there but trust me it doesn't work in LIC. Lastly, I have given bribe which is wrong after trying my lavel best and after giving bribe my claim got settled in less than 4 days.

Being a common man, you cant fight with system where everybody is corrupted.

That's why 80%of India's population is uninsured. Claim settlement is very difficult in this country.

when my father passed away he took insurance which we didn't even know, 2 guys from icici came and told us you will get this money, after we received the money we wanted to gift them 50 thousand, but they refused it and asked for just one cup of tea.

I also faced a similar situation with SBI General Insurance in case of Car Repair Claim. My Car met an accident and the repair cost was Rs. 90, 000/- I filed a claim with SBI General. They sent the surveyor who demanded Rs. 10, 000/- unofficially in cash to process a claim of Rs. 90, 000/-. This was over and above Rs. 1, 000/- which was to be paid under the compulsory deductible clause of Car Insurance Policy . This happened in January 2019.

I knew one person who asked for money to a widow of Army soldier who died in Kargil to pass her claim. With that money he bought land in delhi in year 2000. His house was looted by thieves few years back. Everything including fridge, tv, furniture even books were stolen. For the first time i was happy that Karma really works.😊

Another important point to note, Life Insurance claim can not be rejected after 2yrs of continuous payments (after 3rd Insurance payment)

HDFC k employee ne meri scooty ka claim reject kr diya, bcoz he said "kuch humara bhi dekh lo" or maine bs dekha kuch kiya nhi 😂😂

It can be true. My papa had to give 2% of 1 crore as he wanted as a loan for the business. They have a secret way of asking bribe, they message you on your phone personally asking for it..

Ye sahi hai... Meri gadi ki insurance claim time bhi yehi hua tha... Fir usne paise mange taki Pura claim ho jaye.. But we complained but tab bhi claim na hua Pura

Yes Sir, This has happened with me.. On 5th Nov 2022 my younger brother passed away bcz of suicide . He had term insurance of 50 Lakhs of reputed insurance company. At the time of death insurance competed period was 2 years. He had paid insurance premium for 2 years without fail. All documents were submitted by me. But at time of final disbursement one senior employee of that company had demanded 20K for passing the claim and making disbursement fast. Unfortunately I was left with no option to pay him that amount. I paid and I got that insurance amount with in 8 days .

After the demise of my father in 2020, we went to LIC for claim settlement of 2 different policies, one of which was life insurance. . .50 lakh Milne the . . . . but they only gave the basic sum assured of 2 lac and 2.5 lacs . . . .
Insurance companies never pay the lucrative amount they show while selling their policies. They always have some loopholes in their rules to bypass the big amount. . . .Bahut kam logo ko hi pura claim settlement mil pata hai .. .We have two more currently working policies. . . When they're over, I swear to never take any insurance and will always suggest the same to my family and friends.
At very worst time of your life when you don't get the amount, That creates a biflg damage. .
So, I opted for Share market index fund investments and gold . . .. They are much more reliable than insurance companies.
