Caterpillar, International Harvester, Ford. All built before 1990. I can rebuild and repair as I wish, and no pollution controls.

I wouldn't give you my money, but I love my Kobotas. Not one problem with them.

Along with your list I wouldn’t recommend any Electric Tractors until the Bugs are worked out 👍

In October I bought a Kioti 4720 HS they upsold me but you know I am so happy they did. I have watched so many video's that said buy bigger than what you need and it was a deal that I would have been stupid to pass up. Besides that having a dealer and mechanic just 10 miles away made sense! Hank I appreciate your video's and your advise because if you can save someone a major headache and a ton of money kudo's to you! Thanks!!

🚜 I'd add everything from JD. Never ever again! Deere was nothing but money and trouble over the years for me and my family.

I bought an old 1971 Kubota L210 for 500 bucks. The old tractor cranks up and runs great.

I bought a Montana 4940 4wd brand new in 2005 and it's been a great tractor. It has a Mitsubishi 4 diesel. I have worked it hard from day one. No complaints.

I’ve had a Kubota for 24 years and have had great service. I would buy another one right now!!

Comes down to doing your research having a trusted dealer/service provider and learning how to do your own maintenance. I bought my first Kubota in 2017 right when the problematic regen system was in production. My dealer wouldn’t show me the tractor. Said it was trouble. I ended up with a used 180 hr B3200 . Going strong and they have a customer for life.

Yanmar is now available in the US. I bought one. They had a non-compete with John Deere from 1977-2014. They built a number of JD models complete during those times. Yanmar dealers can not sell parts for gray market yanmar tractors. I love my YM347. Most four number Yanmar tractors are gray market.

Yanmar Builds one of the best Diesel Engines next to Cat

I've owned a LS tractor and now a TYM. I like a simple tractor, I like all the older tractors because they are easy to work on, TYM kind of follows that trend.

Hank I strongly disagree with you about gray market Yanmar tractors. I have a long history with gray markets and have owned one a Yanmar 1401d for more than 20 years. I messaged you a picture of it. Yes it was rebuilt prior to me getting it new rings bearings and the like. In 20 years I have broken the hitch; purchased a new one, serviced it, new filters and replaced the worn out tires. I use it nearly every day. I purchased it from Sheaffer's Town and County Tractors. I can get anything I need from many sources including Sheaffer's, Hoye and the like. Common things I just get from NAPA like my radiator hoses. These tractors are workhorses one must get a true made in Japan Yanmar and not one built in places like Vietnam where Yanmar sold the tooling to make tractors. For real the Montana tractors were bad. However, I grew up around tractors my first time to roll one was in sixth grade a Massey Harris 20 mowing hay. The Yanmars are far safer have good brakes and are more stable. The Massey Harris kicked out of gear in thick grass while mowing with a sickle bar. Actually the brakes were shot on the tractor and did not exist; needless to say the Massey had new brakes and worked many more years. You are also right about the Kubota 3350; I see many of them for sale yet. However, for me I see some of the worst tractors running Mitsubishi engines. I don't give a rats a** who makes the tractor if I see a Mitsubishi engine in it I walk away. I grew up with a grandfather who was a mechanical engineer and learned allot from him. Mitsubishi in their cars uses poor quality rings and the like; once I into their tractor engines I found they have the same level of quality, marginal. One tractor I will not buy is an LS they sub out far too much and like Mitsubishi keep changing rather then refining. LS built the four wheel drive units for Farmtrac; they were not well balanced or though out. Escort built the two wheel drives for Farmtrac; these tractors were Ford clones as they were the ones manufacturing Ford tractors before they ended production. I would love to see Escort back into the US market they build great tractors. Mitsubishi parts are more expensive and they change often rather than refine. Tractors are like cars want a good one buy a Toyota or Honda; want a cheap one buy a Mitsubishi. Every manufacture has built a dud here and there; but, those that endeavor to pursue design quality and refinement are the best!

John Deere would be the top tractor I would not buy ever

The problem with buying the “cheap”tractors is the lack of a dealer network to go with them. I also agree with staying away from grey market equipment of any kind. Not all of the parts are the same!

Hank, I love your dogs. I have a 6 year old black lab and she has tons of energy. I agree with you on the tractors. Thanks

Own and.or operated many tractors over the years. Started out on a 1965 JD 2020. Still own a 1967 JD 2020. We had 2 Duetz that were good tractors. Been a Kubota owner since 1995. Just traded it on a new, bigger Kubota. Been super happy with them. Always buy from a local dealer so I can physically go see them. Absolutely loved the John Deere ones but they have priced themselves out and the proprietary crap got aggravating. Not a big fan of TYM but if they were giving me one I would use it!

I'm looking at buying another tym. Looking at the 2515ch. Would be great for doing some in town snow work for some people I know. Also around the property for where I can't get my 4815ch.

I had a grey market yanmar 1610D with the power shift trans. That little joker was tough. Not any problems and it had been converted in the U.S. with rops and all the English stickers. Most owners manuals are available online and Hoye tractor parts has everything you need for a grey market Yanmar. They're so simple to work on and maintain most people can work and do a service on them. Let alone the wealth of knowledge and vids online and YT. It's an economic choice for folks just starting out. I know you're in with tym, and I get that. But We don't all have access and partnerships with tractor manufacturers. Real world men and women out doing what they can to make a homestead work or a weekend warrior that's just putting in food plots or bushogging occasionally cant always make that $40k rig fit in the budget.

Hey Hank...Thanks for all the great videos. I was wondering what your opinion on the Massey Ferguson subcompacts are ? I bought a GC 1723e a little over a year ago. It definitely does everything I need it to do on my 4 acres. just curious on what you think about them... Thanks !!!!
