I love how her mom is just waiting for her like some James Bond villian.

As a child you find Anna is very rude

As a teenager you literally relate to her so much

She’s a therapist but say “privacy is a privilege” every human being deserves privacy, taking away your child’s door is literally the worse thing u can do, how does her getting detention have anything to do with her door being taken away?

I'm a therapist who works with teens. This is such an accurate depiction of parent-child conflict and misunderstandings. Even the part where Anna's door was taken away. Many parents I've worked with have done that in a *desperate attempt* to get their child "under control." The sad thing is this tactic usually backfires, because then their child may then threaten suicide or something just as bad in a *desperate attempt* to get what they want. Exactly as depicted here. A lot of parents and kids could use a magic fortune cookie I guess.

Even as an adult her mom seems a little... rough. Anna opened up about a boy and her mom laughed at her. Kind of mean.

When teenagers were played by teenagers.

Honestly, I relate to Anna NOW. At 28, but it extends further than just family. No one listens, I feel like I'm shouting into the void most days.

as someone who's door got taken, doesn't fix anything, just solidifys the resentment you have for your parents. Privacy is *NOT* a privilege.

And privacy is a privilege?! She is punished for doing something bad at school oh man so her nakedness will be displayed and everyone will see her changing her clothes!

"I'm moving out tomorrow and never coming back! Never ever ever ever again!"
lol 😂 I can't say I don't blame her

I always thought the stepdad was kinda weird and awkward when I was younger, don’t know why LOL! But now as an adult, I have a lot more respect for him. He stayed out of the drama between Anna & her mother as much as he could and never forced Anna to open up to him just like he said. What a great guy!

I always felt bad for Anna. Like her teacher has it out for her and brother is constantly tormenting her yet she’s the only one her mother ever punishes? Taking her door away was also completely unnecessary - she deserves privacy like everyone else in the house!!🤦🏼‍♀️

Anna is the perfect depiction of how we all wish we could cope with our issues.

And she wonders why her daughter hates her

Yeah, Anna was getting the short end of the stick. Even as an adult, if I was trying to talk to my mom and her bf comes in and says "Who's up for chinese?", I'd want to scream and stomp off too. That completely undermines her and its straight up rude.

Removing your kids door is toxic parenting on a whole nother level

Privacy is not a privilege, it is a right especially with a teenage daughter and young brothers.

Anna: Screams hysterically
Ryan: Think she saw it
Anna: Screams hysterically
Grandpa: Time to check out those Lakers
Ryan: I’m with you

I don’t know why but I always laugh at that sequence! 😂
