My version is inspired by the English version from Tom Waits and Marc Ribot with some help from Google, but I want you to bring your inspiration to it, whatever that might be.

We always sing this song during political rallies, even pride parades sometimes. I sing it with my friends when we meet up. It gives a voice to my anger towards an unjust system, towards a government that wants me dead. This version made me tear up, it's much more vulnerable and intimate than the one I usually sing. Okay. Shit. I am italian, at least half italian, and I feel so much all these resistance songs (the partisans were rebellious fighters against nazis and fascists here, and so many of them died...and we're losing all those who survived, which is so sad because fascism is on the rise again and it makes me so... let me tell you, miss Mitski...I have tears in my eyes...it doesn't matter if you felt uncertain or anything when you sung it, it was from the heart.
