SEE DOUGH AND SAUCE RECIPE'S HERE:

Keep in mind, these are SIMPLE Recipes. We hope you enjoy them!

Here ya go...

Dough Recipe:

- In a bowl, place 4 cups of flour
- Add 1 tablespoon of salt
- Add 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
- Add 2 Tablespoons Oregano
(Stir)

For yeast:
- In a separate bowl/cup place 1/4 cup luke warm water
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
- Add 1 .25 ounce package of yeast (such as Fleischmann's Brand)
- Mix it up well
- Allow to sit for approximately 10 minutes until you see a foam beginning to form on top

Combine the two:
- Using your mixer, combine contents of yeast cup/bowl into your flour/salt bowl
- As you mix, add water as needed (a little at a time) until the mixture begins to become formable into a ball
- Remove it from the bowl and place onto a flour surface
- knead the dough until it becomes a silky type consistency

Get a new larger bowl and line with a thin coat of oil, place the ball into the bowl and cover with plastic wrap for approximately two hours on your counter (room temp). Once it becomes double the size, knead the dough again into a ball and place back into the bowl covered for another two hours. Now you've got your dough!

Sauce Recipe: (Recipe amounts per 8oz can)

- 1 can of tomato sauce (8 oz.) ANY brand will do
- Place into a bowl
- Add a 1/4 teaspoon of salt (or to taste)
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder (or to taste)
- Add 1/4 Teaspoon of Black Pepper (or to taste)
- Add 1/4 teaspoon of Oregano

We may be doing a video on these as well so stay tuned!

I have not made pizza in a cast iron skillet in a long time time. Thanks for the reminder. I think I will do the deep dish tonight. I make my own dough, I have used different dough, but the one I use is one I have been using for a little over 16 years. Also make and can my own pizza sauce from tomatoes, onions, bell peppers and oregano from my garden. I will be putting veggies and pepperoni on mine.

ok - Amazing! Kudo's to Uncle D! I made the dough and sauce recipe - used a Cast Iron skillet on the pellet smoker. My first attempt at a pizza on the smoker and it was awesome! ...or rather -- Glorious!!! I did a sausage and pepperoni pizza with copious amounts of cheese.
