I bought a Vive and installed it yesterday, It's absolutely amazing.

You can move the screen forward for room to use glasses as well.

Set-up incredibly easy and can change whenever.

Games are so immersive on the Vive!

I have a Vive, play it almost daily for car racing games, surprised there hasn't been as much of a push into this genre as it's hugely beneficial with the head tracking, the ability to judge distances & being able to sense elevation changes. Not to mention the immersion.

Have you tried using Vive without your glasses? I'm nearsighted and don't have to use my glasses. I did have to use my glasses in the Rift DK2.

Oh, and with the Vive you don't have to wait sixteen years like with the Rift: I ordered my Vive on a Friday night and got it on a Wednesday (Monday was a holiday).

I've got a Vive. It really is as amazing as everyone is saying with TWO exceptions:
1. The resolution is kinda disappointing if all you've seen so far is screen-captured images. The FOV is fine, but the edges of the lenses cause blurring so you need to move your head to keep text and such in the "sweet spot." Of course, once you're immersed in a game you don't really care.
2. Lightweight plastic might be good for comfort, but this thing IS going to break eventually if you play it enough. Removing the headset by gripping the outer shell dislodged the rail for adjusting lens distance from eyes, and I had a controller break from a drop of just a couple feet. [I'm currently going through the repair process. Based on what I'm reading it's going to be pretty expensive since the mistake was my fault and not covered by the warranty.]

So, if you've got the money to spend, VR is truly amazing and I'm sure you'll love it. If it seems a little expensive, it might be best to wait a couple years for prices to go down and specs to go up, but keep in mind that will only happen if people continue to support the industry today.

Also, screw Oculus. Not because I have any gripes about the HMD, but simply because they're a terrible company. Vive is the way to go.

Just FYI you can move the lenses back/forth in case you have glasses - I have the Vive and it's very easy to do.
