When it comes to choosing a retinol for your skincare routine, its important to know exactly what your putting on the skin. Olay refuse to disclose the concentration of retinol but still claim that their product gives you some of the best retinol results over the counter.

Without knowing the concentration it leads us to think, what do Olay have to hide. This coupled with the fact they use some of the weakest forms of retinoid around means you are unlikely to get Max results with this like the label would imply.

It's an encapsulated retinol so it is stable. In addition to this low percentage of retinol, it also contains Retinyl Propionate, which does have evidence supporting its efficacy. A decent product for beginners or sensitive skin.

Um lots of misconceptions here and even Dr. Dray said that just because it is in a jar packaging it doesn’t matter as long as the formulation is stable.

I’m so relieved to see many people disagreeing and sharing how this product has worked for them after finally buying this $38 jar😅 I’ve been using it every other day for the past week. If I am not mistaken this one and Neutrogena have clinical trial to back the efficacy, so they are actually the best shot among others. Remember, retinol doesn't need to be in high concentration to work! Formulation is ming.

It’s the best one I’ve found. I didn’t notice a difference with Neutrogena or Revlon. There are several that I have used and this has been the best one for me, this far 🤷‍♀️

Why are we just calling out Olay though? There's a million and one companies that don't disclose their %. Even high end brands like Sunday Riley don't disclose it.

Well, I'm not sure it was a scam for me. I've had this weird ass red circle on both my cheeks for years and after 2 weeks of using this, it disappeared. That and the skin on my face is brighter and smoother. Maybe I've got sensitive skin and it had enough retinol to do the bare minimum. :P

I can assure you it's potent. I gave it to my 65 years old dad and it did smooth the fine lines around his eyes. It even evened out his face. However, his face looked a little bit irritated after using it daily. I couldn't use it for three days straight. Maybe it's the niacin amide..I don't know 🙄
Another thing jar packaging issue is just a myth. Companies use jars because they came up with their own way to stabilize certain sensitive ingredients.

I was starting to get so many fine lines and wrinkles and I kid you not when I say that it worked wonders. in just 3-4 days it made my skin so taut and I cannot help loving my skin but if you don't believe me... well your loss. but yeah if you use it I should tell you that I was using it with a moisturizer from avene as a top layer.
