STO = Super Troféo 'Omolagata (Super Trofeo Homologation).
A reference to the rule of Homologation meaning that manufacturers must make a certain number of road-legal versions of a car in order for it to compete on track (hence 'Win on Sunday, sell on Monday'). No matter the controversy surrounding this rule, we can at least thank it for inspiring many of the greatest road cars ever, and now for this one! Belissimo!
