Had my mk8 for a month now and previously had a mk6, the haptic buttons are not as bad as people make it out to be, it’s comfortable and easy, the only people complaining are the ones who don’t own one, times are changing can’t expect to have the interior of an r32 in 2024.

After owning a 6spd manual 20th anniversary edition for more than six months, I can say the issues people seem to talk about aren’t nearly as prevalent as people make them out to be…learn to drive the car, and accept that times are changing and the new features on new cars🤟🏻🤙🏻

Waited for this (ordered one), seeing it, I just got a nice on a MK8 instead. I felt like cars were going backward, it's about the same (I hate iPad style dash...prefer the integrated small screen look). When I saw the LCI X5, I bought the last year of the pre-LCI.... I'm super happy, they have all the features you want, just less screen and touchless buttons....

I prefer my mk8 - don’t like the badge light to kit - bar the larger screen / light up controls hmmmm not much changed then - wonder if they fixed the rusting rear hubs - can’t believe how many golf R I have seen including mine rust there on a expensive car

I don’t understand what the problem is with the haptic buttons. Reviewer keep complaining about accidentally pressing the heated steering wheel button, I haven’t once accidentally pressed it since I got my mk8…

Opportunity to address the common dislikes and improve the Mk8...., lost.... What are car designers thinking lately? Still sticking with my Mk7.5 with its superior interior, IMO. Cheers!

The retention of the haptics is VERY confusing. I thought they dropped those? I also thought the GTI went back to physical buttons. Is it literally that they couldn’t integrate the “R” button???😮😂
