I planted some of those this year too. Mine are just now getting blossoms. Last year was my first time growing cucumbers and due to lack of pollinators I had go around with a paint brush to get any cucumbers. Needless to say I jumped on these when I heard about them.

Here's the results of yours. I'm trying these next year. Your Max Pacs were great this year. The rest of my pickles didn't do much.

I believe all flowers need to be pollinated to make fruit. The difference here is that cucumber flowers have both male/female parts, so when the wind blows or the plants get jostled, the pollen travels within the flower from the male part to the female part of the flower. So when you get a cucumber flower and it doesn't turn into fruit, it means that the pollen inside was never moved to the female part of the flower to "impregnate" it.

Lol! Don't need bees see? We got squash
All is good. Sad how few people plant a sprinkle of wild flowers to help bees then complain that there's no pollinators. People are strange huh?

Gynoecious is pronounced guy-nee-shuss.The root word is gyn not gyno for female and oikos is house.
