Finally, the wait is over. The ministry of defence has taken a major step towards boosting the strength of Indian air force and army. On 30th November, Defence Acquisition Council approves capital acquisition proposals worth Rs 2.23 lakh crore to enhance the operational capabilities of the Armed Forces. The DAC has given AoN for 3 mega proposals which includes the acquisition of 97 LCA mark 1A fighter jets for the Indian Air Force, 156 LCH Prachand attack helicopters & upgrade plan of 84 Su-30MKI fighters.
