Manmohan Singh's condition stable, say AIIMS officials; PM Modi wishes Former PM speedy recovery

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday wished for the speedy recovery of former PM Manmohan Singh who was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi for evaluation of fever last night. "I pray for the good health and speedy recovery of Dr Manmohan Singh Ji," PM Modi tweeted. Singh, who was admitted to AIIMS on Wednesday, is under the observation of doctors.

While wishing him speedy recovery and with all due respect to Mr Manmohan Singh, I have not been able to understand what has been his contribution towards Indian economy ; economics, stripped to its basics remains the same - supply and demand ; the economists have developed their own lingo and jargans and they can discuss days on end without conveying anything substantial at all except for quoting figures based on hypothesis ; their talks are akin to a politician who can talk endlessly without any substance !
