Had an amazing time on my first flight lesson this evening. Rode up front in this 1942 Taylorcraft L2 and got to do some flying in the air. My fantastic instructor took off and landed in the cross wind today. Can't wait to get in the air again and learn all that I can. I'm very excited to be working toward my private pilot license.

Thank you, my 98 year old father used to fly one of these in WWII for the 100th Division Artillery Headquarters in the "Rhineland" and "Central Europe": I sincerely appreciate the experience.

Sorry to tell you but L-2's were never used in the war. They were used as trainers only. So they are not war birds. Read the history on the plane your tell people about and not misinform.
