If you can see him live, do.

Impossible to explain how overwhelming the detail of his music is live, it feels phsyical like an orchestra but dozens of times louder, its incredible. Every sound fizzles and distorts and just buzzes with energy, so good.

Jon Hopkins is a modern day tech-mozart, a musical genius. I don't know how he keeps track of all the elements in his tracks. He is simply incredible...

Deep deep music: asymmetry, meaning, detail, vision. One of the best music innovators around.

I have been spending my last 4 months in Antarctica. Emptiness, Arsh conditions, sweetness in remote areas... Searching greatness in corners of the world is what we all aspire to do. This man's music push you in forgetting the bullshits that surrends you daily. The harder you know how to hit, the more love you are able to share.
Amazing work John. Please keep it coming.
From someone who travels the world...

Seeing Jon Hopkins live in Brooklyn last December is singlehandedly the most blissful experience I had in 2018.
He is a sorcerer.
Some of you who have seen him live may know what I mean.
I invite you all listeners of Sir Jon Hopkins to make whatever sacrifice it takes to go see this man while he’s still alive and healthy.

I ask myself how someone can be this good at making and performing music whenever I see this... There are so many layers in his music yet so much space to get involved in.

Open Eye Signal with piano sounds is fantastic! I now understand that deformed noise in original track as a piano sound. Love it.

Electronic musicians, DJ's etc, are still highly musical people, like playing bass, its easy to do badly, difficult to play well haha, ,, DJing to me is less like playing an instrument, constantly creating the sounds but more like steering a train, a train of groove that is running by itself, and the curator steers it, and thats the appeal of dance music to me, its not about events, or three chord tricks, or 3 minute beatles tunes, its a groove, and evolving flow of groove that progresses opens up closes with such diverse array of tones, all music has something to offer, everything

Open Eye Signal is literally the greatest thing ever.
