This Rapid Revision session provides an overview of progress made in Public Health. it focuses on three significant problems: 1. Overcrowding due to population growth. 2. The Great Stink of 1858. 3. Cholera. It then looks at the solutions to these problems including Dr. John Snow, Louis Pasteur, Edwin Chadwick, Joseph Bazalgette's sewers, and the various Public Health Acts passed between 1848 and 1875.
