This is one of those very long unbooxing video I make. This pen was sent to me by Kaweco for review. So... thank you so much, Kaweco!
Maybe the most exciting unboxing video (to me) I ever made: A Kaweco Sterling Sport fountain pen.

00:00 - unboxing
07:37 - pen reveal
15:35 - comparisons
21:00 - final considerations

Yay, Kaweco for letting a Sterling out intot the wild. Thanks, OdE for showing it to us. Nice to see the four together. I never could spring for the sterling, not at half the price, but that stainless model looks pretty nice as well.

Comparable in price to one of my grail pens, the Yard O Led. Stunning looking pen!

You finally got one -- I'm so happy for you! That is indeed a gorgeous pen. The unique patina will be nice, but it's also fun to see it in this pristine state -- not a scratch on it and very shiny. Enjoy!

That is the jewel in the Kaweco crown, fit for a king—King Paulo!

Wow! I love sterling silver pens! This is the Kaweco sport that makes me really want to try the Kaweco sport!

Very nice pen. In Greece you can get it for €1.230. About silver it worries me that when oxidized it gets black and you have to polish it with the dedicated emulsion for silver in order to make it shiny again.
But then again some oxydization is nice.
Congrats for the acquisition!
It is a really special pen !

It is a stunning pen, and I'm pleased you have one in your hands. Personally, I still prefer the Steel Sport, but I recognise that the Sterling costs a lot because it is made from precious metal. There are a lot of pens that cost huge amounts of money, and some are just awful to even look at, never mind use.

I can think of no one better, or more deserving, to review this beautiful pen.

Great video!! And oh wow, I gasped when I saw the price! I think it makes sense though because of the sterling silver.. I have bought sterling silver rings for $80USD, and this pen has a lot more sterling silver than what is typically used (in jewelry for example)

Hi Paulo, the definitive one for me is the steel one!

Great video!! Very nice that you got one and congraluations! Can you show how the patina changes over time for the sterling sport? I have the brass sport and it has been interesting seeing how it changes over time. My husband has the brass sport too, we got ours the same day and they both look very different from each other! Also, love your videos, you do a great job!

Congratulations! It’s no surprise to us that your most expensive pen is from Kaweco ! This pen seemed quite affordable when compared to $9000 Lamy Dailog Urushi, whose Ad I incidentally saw today !

Thanks for the video OdE.
Not sure about this one 😕 At this price range, there are so many good pens that are way more unique.

Because, at the end of the day, it may be entirely made out of silver and have some weight and patina, but it will mostly feel the same as any trite metal Kaweco Sport.

One can buy a Kaweco Steel/Aluminium/Brass Sport, add an extra 14 gold nib, and will roughly have 90% the same experience and aesthetics than with the Sterling but will make a 1250€ saving.

I like Kaweco pens, but I think they really need to go out of their comfort zone and propose new models.

I’m curious if the finial/Kaweco logo on the cap is also sterling silver.

So I'm guessing this pen won't be tossed into your pocket for your next hike? And they really want you to know it's sterling!

Curious to know if it has a plastic inner cap to help avoid scratches?

I'm also curious if you will allow the silver to oxidize or if you will keep it polished?

Hi, I'm new to this hobby. I wanna ask something. Do you recommend more the kaweco special or the kaweco liliput pen.
