I don't see why it is so difficult for some people to accept that sometimes the stars just align. Fifty Fifty just happened to release some good songs, at the right time, as well as market it in surprisingly good ways. it happens all the time, that unknown artists, or artists from small labels release a song, and BOOM, suddenly everyone has heard of them. This is not a new phenomenon, and it does not mean that any nefarious deals have been going on behind closed doors. It is usually just a case of right place, right time.
And the whole conspiracy about the financial struggle being a lie because they released several MV's is also pretty ridiculous. If you actually look at the MV's, it doesn't seem like the productions cost is all that big. There are few sets compared to a lot of K-pop MV's, and they are reused a lot throughout the MV's. The members usually have one set each for solo shots, and maybe there is a set for a group shot, but even that is sometimes not even the case.
This is not to say the MV's are bad at all. They make it work because the directing and shot selection is good. But it does show that they don't have a massive budget for these MV's.

this group deserves all the success they are getting, it's impressive how a group who came from such an unknown company are doing so well. I'll say they are the most successful group and organic group that came out of 4th generation groups. not a fan of them but I'm glad that they are doing so well and their song is really good so I know they'll definitely break more records

What makes Cupid twin ver special is its on the level of other english language hit songs but its K-pop. Its like a proof of concept that K-pop can make english language songs on the level of something like "Call me Maybe"

The best route for 50/50 is to release songs that aren’t KPOP generic cuz their biggest asset is their voice. They can do songs same as new jeans or songs that are more melody driven. Girl crush and cutesy type songs are very saturated. Down to earth, relatable, and easy but smooth on the ear would be the best way to go.
