Coinbase, Ethereum, And The SEC (Bad News)

I also discuss William Hinman's famous 2018 crypto speech, which was given while he was on the payroll of a pro-Ethereum law firm and before he went to work for the crypto pump and dump shop a16z.

Unfortunately for the XRP army and Ethereum, Hinman did not and does not have the power to change the Howey Test and 70 years of US securities law.

It's also quite clear that Gary Gensler is coming for Ethereum next. By moving to proof of stake, Ethereum has only made his job easier.

Thank you Matthew. Keep them coming, however would it be possible to focus more videos on Bitcoin rather than the alts? I'd like to understand Bitcoin in great detail. Eg, can the lightning infrastructure handle mass global payments, is there any risk of the lightning infrastructure being structured through a centralised system open to abuse etc?

At first I wasnt sure about the hard stances you were taking against the other alt coins. But the more I listen the more I get convinced that probably should only be holding Bitcoin as far as crypto goes. Im even going to switch my BTC from my Trezor to a Cold Card.

Thank you for educating me on all things Bitcoin Mathew. I've been watching and learning from ur channel for nearly two years now. Everything you said about Alt coins was so true. I sold all my altcoins and went all in on BTC after learning from you. I'm still speculative of a million dollar BTC valuation though 😅. He'll, I'm still speculative of a $100, 000 BTC (within 5 years). 😅

What do you say to the claim that staking helps protect the network and thus coins that are staked also involve your own effort and do not pass the fourth criterion of the Howey test.
