My wife was born without a functioning right leg so at age 18 she had it amputated and fitted with a prosthetic leg. We married and we bought a GoldWing motorcycle and we loved it, She saw other women riding there own and she asked me if I could modify a bike so she could ride. Sure i could. We bought her a GoldWing trike and I moved the brake to the left side. After 14 years the Spyder motorcycles came out and they fit her to a tee. Left thumb shifting, auto down-shifting on deceleration. 1 brake pedal and i moved it to the left side and she rode that one for 9 years until her handicap made her stop. She now has a 3 wheeled E-bike and I have a 2 wheeler E-bike. She is 74 and i'm 69. Being handicapped don't mean you have no life.. She rode her own jet ski and is a certified scuba diver, we have owned 19 different camping rigs . We have lived large but she is slowed way down now waiting to die.. She has lived a life more wonderful and anyone we know.
