I honestly like where her difficulty is. There’s a stark contrast between her and the demi-gods because she’s the only shard bearer who isn’t one.

Renalla is designed for the mages that all but have to be looking through the academy for talismans and gear.
That's why she takes huge physical damage, but basically no magic damage. As well, mages have a hard time dealing with her summons since casting forces you to sit still, especially with spells that can actually hurt her.

one shot homing missiles that are hard to dodge, summons other enemies including a dragon to help fight for her, insanely long walkback with the chance to get crushed by a falling ball, falling chandeliers, getting comboed by books and the fire attacks, one shot gravestones, some of the students are hiding far behind bookshelves, being invincible, jumps far back and every swing and to top it all off you are using a bleed build

Rennala makes me feel very bad for her, not only did she lost her child, she suddenly lost her mind, she isn’t evil in any way, she went through a lot of pain after losing her entire family in terrible ways

I don't know if it was just me, but lord Renalla took me more tries to beat than any other boss in the game, EVEN MELANIA. I couldn't tell how everyone considered her the easiest until my multiple playthroughs.

It might be easy for soul game veterans, but for newbies who started their souls genre journey with elden ring, it sure was not easy :)

In my mage playthrough she was the hardest boss in the game

I feel the boss is appropriate for the level of progression. Phase 1 is a puzzle, if you go in as a caster and use all your mana your cooked for p2. You have to take it from a first attempt perspective.

As a int build I had a hard time with her, she made me rage more than any boss because of the time it takes to get to her after dying and completing her first phase.

It’s the fact that she is insanely powerful in the lore and literally stalmated Radagon in a WAR BY HERSELF. But she is one of the easiest main bosses in the game. Still she is always fun to fight and I don’t mind her difficulty at all especially if you’re doing an intelligence build, then she gets pretty tough.
