Building an Internal Development Platform at Bloom and Wild with Terraform

As Bloom & Wild embarks in the journey of breaking up a monolith into microservices, in this talk we will discuss how the Platform Team leveraged Terraform, Terraform Cloud and GitHub actions to build a framework for the development team to use to spin up new microservices in a matter of minutes.In a world where most teams would have chosen the Serverless Framework or AWS SAM, we will discuss why we decided to take a different route, what challenges we found along the way, and how we managed to get all the puzzle pieces to work together for a great developer experience.
