Amazing how big a moon has to get before it becomes spherical.

Funny fact: Mimas was discovered in 1789, but the crater "Herschel" which makes it look like Death Star was discovered in 1980, while Star wars came out in 1977. So Death Star didn't mimic Mimas, Death Star came first. Of course the crater is much older (around 4, 1 billion years), but it's the discovery year that counts xD By the way, that crater is pretty serious: It's 139 km across, almost third of Mimas diameter. The walls are 5 km high, while deepest parts of crater are 10-12 km deep, it's deeper than Challenger Deep! Astronomers have no idea how the Mimas survived the impact of that size, it should have shattered into pieces. There are even stress fractures on other side of Mimas, result of shock waves the impact send through.

Goes to show how the size of a object determines it’s shape. The larger they are, the more spherical. The smaller ones are all different shapes.
