Gates of Assyria - 1 Hour of Assyrian Themed Music

This is a one hour compilation of soundscapes intended for film, documentary and relaxation. Theme is envisioned a long time ago, perhaps 2000 to 4000 years BC in the area of Mesopotamia. Several instruments used were ancient in origin with some being crafted here in my instrument shop. Samples were recorded then produced using DVD quality techniques. I tried to pay respect to all related cultures and their musical phrasing / instruments. Europe, Israel, Middle East, Rome, Asia, Egypt, Scandinavia, etc. Tracks were recorded using multiple DAW stacked samplers triggered by keys and custom midi guitar.

These tracks were a lot more professional sounding than I expected. I thought this was just going to be the same thing looped over and over for an hour but every track was different. Even Pileser's Bazaar had Arabic singing in the background. Wow.

you know Ancient Ambience, I feel in today's troubled world, there are two things that really unite the masses... and those are soccer and music.

The blend of old European and Middle-Eastern instruments reminds me of The Crusades. This quickly became one of my favorite ambient music mixes.
