DIY Camper Van: Unique Shower & Elevator Bed

Lucas fell in love with traveling after a solo trip to Indonesia that progressed to the Philippines. When he was ready to venture farther and longer, the pandemic hit and left him in the states with new goals. Fast forward, and he is on his second van and exploring North America. In fact, he and three others one-wheeled from Canada to Mexico while three followed in his van!

This gorgeous van build has a European-inspired corner shower directly behind the driver's seat with a double pass-through to the cab. Lucas installed a Happy Jack lift bed to have a massive lounge area in the main living space of the van. His small kitchen has an induction stove, a deep sink, and actual wine glasses hanging above!

This is the most unique van build I've seen. I get tired of the vans cause they're usually the same but the view in, from the outside in the beginning, kept me around. Glad I stayed!

I love the look. The shower is great. I personally would change the toilet so it's next to the shower and could slide into the bathroom when needed.

I don’t know what this guy does for a living but he definitely has a bright future in designing van builds and/or building vans. Most van and suv builds have places to sleep but little place to hang out. This van is fantastic. He even thought how to have an AC unit. I know I had to have a working ac unit when I had my suv. I never dry docked in it. I went to state parks.

This is just amazing. As a female, I have 2have a shower in whatever I build. And yours is the 1st I have seen where this is a priority. Didn't think it was possible in a van build, but you just showed it is not only possible, but actually beautiful. Well done!

Finally someone did the walk through shower! I’ve always thought about how I would lay out my van if I had one, and that is what I always thought about, but not how I would actually shape it. Nice build!

Seriously love this guy and his passion for adventure, reminds me of myself when I was his age, decades ago. I've been everywhere and seen and done it all. Once you do that, the only journey of adventure left is inward 🙏

I love the use of black in the van. It makes it look very much like a modern apartment from the city. I love the leaves artwork, too. It really does bring a nice pop of color to the space. Where you put the shower is genius. I think the only thing I don't like is the toilet, but that is just me. I am sure it is fine for someone younger.
