These licks are short and easy to play but that's what makes them so great. It means they are versatile and you can come up with endless variations of each one, which is far more useful in terms of developing your blues vocabulary.

I like that use of the major 7th in the first lick as a passing note, it works surprisingly well!

On what blue scales can those licks be played? Can they be played in the C and A blues scales?

the 2nd lick you could also say, it's Cm - F - C7. or 1 - 4 - 1(7) then add the slide notes. thats how I was taught this as a kid
