Magic!✨John gifted Nick with a beautifully played piano, the chimes, the production and motivation but the song writing, guitar and gentle, shy voice were also a gift to John! The whole album is fantastic, but this song in particular. I can sit reading a good book in front of the fire with a good cup of coffee and this album playing in the background and the am in my happy place, especially when my dogs sat next to me 😊

No live appearances of Nick, because he was too shy. One of my favourite albums of all time. John Martyn was one of his friends and I believe he went to university with Chris De Burg. A light that was too bright for this world RIP

Only 3 albums, they're all golden, for my money "5 leaves left" is a masterpiece of an album, but they're all great.

He was probably discovered by more people due to his songs being used in a couple of commercials - Pink Moon for a Volkswagen commercial and more recently From the Morning for AT&T.

Suffered from depression and OD'd on antidepressants - never sure if was suicide or accindental. Didnt perform much, and i read on at least one occasion performed with his back to the Audience.

I think he is somewhst similar to Gram Parsons - troubled souls, with some real talent who died young and both had more influence than records sold

Nick only became popular posthumously, one of his sings was used in a Volkswagen commercial in the late 90's.
