the first time i heard this song was during a middle school trip to six flags in ~2008... it was playing as the roller coaster took off and i went home and found it and listened to it on repeat for weeks. it is uncanny how close movies can be to personal experiences

The ending for this movie is perfect for a couple of reasons 1.)Even after everything they've endured and gone through on their trip, you get to see a happy ending, they come to a realization that even though all moment's are not so peachy their A FAMILY that love's & care's about each other; all of them singing @Seal Kiss From A Rose together accapella. 2.)It wouldn't be a National Lampoon's Family Vacation type movie without something funny happening (a.k.a rollercoaster getting stuck upside down) I love the natural reaction that Christina Applegate gives as their just about to go over the first drop-off while singing. Plus it's so powerful when Seal kick's in and takes the Mic at the right moment. You gotta give Rus Griswold credit, even though he inherited some of his Father's quirk's, his family's trip across country was way less of a disaster than his Father's and Funnier if I do say so myself.

FUNNY FACT: The ride that they on (The Ninja at Six Flags Over Georgia) in reality is notorious for its causing of migranes and severe headaches due to the back and forth jerking of the seats. It's kind of funny to think of how they had to act like they were enjoying themselves while having to endure that brutal jerking over and over and over again.

I love Russ’s face when he realizes the older kid has started singing his song 😍 0:08 And when he looks at Debbie with utter happiness and joy to be there with his favorite people while they sing him his song 0:19 Ed Helms is so good! He and Christina Applegate were so adorable in this 😍

The way how the coaster stops just kills the scene right there. Jeez my version would've been the whole ride.

This film got better as it went on. Honestly I wanted to turn off in the beginning and after an hour went by it turned out to be pretty decent. This scene and Clark giving Rusty the car was the highlight of this movie.
