It’s not on this list but the most haunted place I’ve been has to have been Chambercombe manor in Devon. Our tour seemed to be filled with people randomly getting goosebumps or feeling dizzy. And the fact that every single room in the house was haunted was genuinely terrifying. But one room, covered up by a wall because of a horrible event that happened at the house back in the 17th or 18th century. However recently they have put a hole in the wall so you can see in and when I looked in that room the strongest sense of horror hit me and all my hairs stood on end. That’s when I realised ghosts were real without even seeing one.
A most haunted episode was made on it but the tour guide said it was a load of crap.

My flat used to be haunted but whatever spirit or ghost has moved on. The ghost was a prankster. It would move my heavy cast iron kitchen table chairs across the room, knock framed photos off the wall and stuff of the shelves, open and close doors and I even was able to catch an EVP of it saying two words. I named the ghost Spooky 👻 and would say I’m going to bed, no more tonight ! And it would be quiet. Ghost hunters wanted to come and investigate my flat but the owner said no. Pity, it would have been interesting to see what they could find. I actually miss Spooky. It never bothered me. I thought it was the cat’s pajamas.

My great-grandad bought a farm house in the late 1920s. It was the largest and oldest farm house in the area, no one knows how old but it was marked on a map dated 1750 so it had to been built around then or before. My grandad used to tell me when growing up, he would see things move by themselves and would often tell me of times he saw apples floating around in the Orchard at the farm. At the time he told me these stories, I was just around 7-10 years old, so thought little about it. Then my mum told me about what my great aunt told her about growing up in the farm house and hearing what she thought was footsteps in the house and on some nights she would hear sounds of a horse and carriage in the courtyard.

Last year while doing my family genealogy, I was researching my grandads family and I was told of a book that detailed the history of surrounding area and the people, where my great grandparents lived and their families lived. I read the book and in it there was a section about the farm house and who owned it and there was a bit of info on the supposed ghostly goings on and that people who had lived there had heard sounds of a carriage and horses hooves in the courtyard at night and footsteps in the house, exactly what I had been told.

I once talked to the son of a man who bought the farm from my great-grandad when he retired from farming. He spent a number of years living there as a child and he said he noticed things like objects moving by themselves such as the fire grate moving and strange sounds at times. Sadly for a house of its age, it got into bad shape in the late 1980s and was torn down.

I now live in the area not far away from where the farm was and my mum told me once in this area she saw what looked like twin girls standing next to a field beside a road and they looking into the distance, but when she looked again, they were gone, no trace of them. I found out the field there were standing beside, and the same field I have been in many times, was once a graveyard were all the graves were disinterred in the 1600s and moved somewhere else.

The town Hastings is supposed to be haunted. Got a whole book dedicated to the hauntings

Not seen a ghost, but a family friend was asked to decorate a cottage near Portchester Castle.
A couple of days after he started he said to us to go to the cottage. He took us to a bedroom upstairs, opened the window and door and took up a floorboard.
He took a plastic bag from under the floor and took a small ballet shoe out of the bag, and the window and door slammed shut. They would not open again until the show was put back in the bag and under the floor again.
Found out afterwards that a young girl who liked dressing as a ballerina was murdered in the room.
