Undervolt your Ryzen 9 3900X for more FPS and Lower Temperature!

Those Ryzen 3000 CPUs can be quite a bit power hungry if you let them behave like they want to, which is why today we're setting this R9 3900X to be more performing in multithread AND more power efficient, with lower temps and stopping it from overheating. This CPU is great and manages to beat the i9 11900K but tends to overheat.

This also works for the Ryzen 9 3950X, 3900XT and in general for the Ryzen 3000 series.

bro u r a G, I alrdy weeks ago did the settings from ur video about the 5950x and worked perfect, way lower temps, less power concumption, and at least same frames as before, now I just did ur suggested settings on my 3900x and again its super nice. I had the issue that my temps were goin up and then performance dropped. that issue I dont have anymore, thx bro

Nice video, you could perhaps also show the before and after temperatures and power draw in a few games (I believe MSI afterburner reports these stats). Keep it up!

I have a 3900 (non X) max 4.35Ghz, 2x16GB 3600mhz 18 22 22 22 38, MOBO B550 MX/E PRO, AIO 240mm push and pull 4x fans. Best settings that I got here: PBO PPT 115 EDC 115 TDC 75. Undervolt curve -0.130. CPU clock: default. Full load temp 64, in game: 50. CPU-z single: 537 multi: 8550. Cinebench R23: 18500. CPU clock in game: 4.3Ghz, full load render: 4.2Ghz.

Great tuturial. A bit hard to understand since my gigabyte motherboard got completely different names. Is cpu vcore equal to cpu core ratio? Also voltagales are around 1.200 so im guessing that there's no need for this

my 3900x on b450 tomahawk max crashes and freezes as soon as i put 4200 and 1.275. temps are max 70degrees. feel like i got a bad chip :(

How come that with my 5900x and your settings. I get 20 degree drop while still using 120watts. I dont understand.

I mean even i voltage is lower how come watt use is same and temps go down
