John Lennon just had that electrifying energy and talent to just tie everything together and make it sound amazing. It's so weird that he always doubted how good he was.

I was there in Varsity Stadium sitting under the scaffolding that Pennebaker set up in front of the stage for his film camera.
It was a very long concert with Alice Cooper, Chicago Transit Authority, Berry, Little Richard and the headliner at the end - The Doors!!

They had already played together at the Rock N Roll Circus 1968. ADD John...

Both of them were sick on Heroin for the plane ride. They went to Toronto to score smack. True

A great live version of Money that I wished the Beatles had played live in 65 or 66.

Side A of the original mix from 1969, that John did, is very good. But Yoko or someone remixed more recently and ruined it. Clapton's lead is buried in the mix and Yoko's tortured cat screams got put back in. Find the original mix or don't bother!

Snuck a little 5 Minutes Alone clip in there. A bit of trivia...Dimebag Darrell was shot to death on the anniversary of Lennon's shooting. RIP Gentlemen.

That Toronto R n' R Revival at the Varsity Stadium was on Sept. 13, 1969, and The Doors, of all bands, headlined! Alice Cooper was also on the bill, and he threw a chicken into the audience that got shredded...can you just imagine...?

At 70 I grew up idolizing Lennon. When Ringo released his first solo album Lennon said it was so bad that he was embarrassed. I’ll never forgive him for that. He was a narcissist who doesn’t deserve the praise.

I love John's comment in 1980, "I got up and did "Yer Blues, " and then Yoko got up and did HER blues." That's the Side 2 of the album, with Yoko screaming over John's feedback.

Was the Toronto Show the same one referenced in Riding The Bullet (2004), the movie based on the short story by Stephen King?
