The tip that improved my mixing experience the most is, listen to your favourite music in your mixing position.
Don't work, crack a beer, or whatever relaxes you, and just sit there listening to all of your favourite music. Stuff you've loved, and heard, your whole life. Party in your mixing position!
It's the best reference you can have.

What worked best for me was to turn one speaker off completely, put the other one (that’s on) in one corner of the room on the floor, and then play some of my favorite tracks. Then I moved up and down the center of my room to find the best position where the kick and bass were the most balanced. I marked that as my listening spot and then positioned my speakers accordingly. Found it in an article on room treatment somewhere. Worked really well.

Dont use a subwoofer is BS. Its like if ur bass has a problem then just dont listen to it at all!

What headphones are the best for you mixing and mastering ?
Im new to all of it, production and mixing, only got a small room and small monitors so not really learning any mastering yet, didn’t see the point if my mixes aren’t great haha
