Vice President Harris is headed to Wisconsin for her first rally since launching her presidential campaign. But who will her running mate be? NBC News' Yamiche Alcindor, MSNBC's Symone Sanders-Townsend, former Rep. I did not think I would be thrilled for Kamala running, but I LOVE her! American needs a smart, confident, sophisticated woman like her.

Governor Andy Beshear would be the wisest choice. He's great with people, an excellent communicator and has proven he can even flip red votes. He isn't a typical politician. He's bright, kind and full of innovative ideas.

Harris' optimal VP pick would be Pete Buttigieg. Of the candidates on her list, he's by far the best communicator. He clearly loves a debate, and always comes prepared with verifiable facts and figures, simple analogies, and quick responses -- even when he's being grilled by Congress or far-right news reporters. (In one of his many appearances on FOX News, there was a live audience which gave him a standing ovation!) He served in our military -- a great way to develop leadership skills, demonstrate loyalty to our country, and learn how to thrive under pressure. Then he entered politics as a mayor in Indiana (South Bend, ) so he's had loads of experience being held to account by people of all kinds. A Harris--Buttigieg ticket would be unbeatable!

Gov. Tim Walz would be a fantastic pick. A former teacher/military. Has experience in China. Impressively effective and progressive record in MN. Understands rural/urban Americans alike. Articulate, funny, does not suffer fools.

I am still trying to learn more about Kamala Harris' potential VP picks, but I am leaning towards Pete Buttigieg for three reasons: he participated in the 2020 Democratic Party Presidential Primaries; he has experience working within the Executive Branch as a Cabinet member; and he would not have to give up any Governor or Senator seat in the battleground states.

Shapiro will be a huge issue for young voters and progressives due to his stance on the Israel Palestine conflict.

North Carolina would be a long shot even with Cooper on the ticket and they're not going to have two women. It's either Kelly or Shapiro.
