I remember being at Gamestop right before everything closed down.. for the release of Animal Crossing. The employee was surprised at the size of the line and assumed it was for Doom. It wasn't, it was for Animal Crossing!

So many great memories playing the original game and New Leaf. Sadly, I got so overwhelmed with all the customization and crafting in New Horizons that I fell out of the game only a few months later, but I still love seeing what people have done with their islands.

I've been playing Animal Crossing since its 2002 debut. I put in over 3, 000 hours on City Folk (according to my Wii), over 5, 000 hours on New Leaf (says my 3DS), and over 10, 000 hours on New Horizons (my Switch says that). It's unknown how many hours I put in on the original and Wild World, but I'd estimate them to be in the thousands as well. I have every NA game, including the apps (calculator, clock, plaza), all the Club Nintendo rewards (playing cards, cases, posters), all amiibo (figures and cards), all e-reader cards, all player's guides, and of course all the special edition Animal Crossing systems. Animal Crossing has taken over 20, 000 hours of my life, and I don't think I could have had a better way to spend them!

Pocket Camp was my first Animal Crossing game! My brother told me about it once. I began playing it in November 2021. It is a stress reliever! My second AC game is New Horizons for Switch and my third is City Folk for Wii. I recent got New Leaf for the 3DS. I am hoping to get Wild World for the DS next then the very first AC game for GameCube later on.

I never played AC as a kid tbh which is why I’m getting games like the self titled gamecube version, City Folk, and Wild World in 2022. I never heard of the franchise until later on when I was around 20, give or take. I’m 24 and AC is literally the most wholesome franchise ever!

EDIT:I just turned 26 April 28th and I still love Animal Crossing!
