At least 12 killed in New York City apartment fire

The deadliest fire in New York City in 27 years ripped through a five-story apartment building Thursday night, one block west of the famous Bronx Zoo. At least 12 people were killed including four children. Don Dahler reports.

Wow what a double-whammy. First her child starts the fire, then she helps it consume the rest of the building by leaving the door open. Hopefully there will be some repercussion for the death and destruction that followed in the wake of her negligence.

Your 3yrs old is fascinated with the stove/ burner and common sense didn't tell you that you should TAKE THE BURNERS OFF...yes take them off the handle I mean each time you finish using the stove remove the handles that is able to turn...just like the socket on the walls...COVER THEM...smh...I bet she remembera to protect her cellphone though...

Someone should really investigate the owners of this property, if this was a rent controlled building the owner of the building could be involved, these buildings could be set on fire by the owner to collect insurance and higher rent from new upcoming tenants in the future, currency inflation and high taxes will make property owners become desperate especially if this is a rent controlled apartment complex in which rent doesn't rise with the rate of inflation and taxes, think about it people, and it sure looks like it was if senior citizens were living there
