There are huge influx of Chinese migration to the Philippines during pre-colonial times so I’m not surprised many ppl who claimed their Filipinos have actually Chinese blood. If you looked Chinese, Korean, Japanese you most likely have their ancestral blood. Even if your surnames were Spanish, it was changed when they arrived in the Philippines by Spanish rule.

No Dude, gaoshan is aborigines in Taiwan. They are Austronesian, which technically is South east asian and same as filipino, malay, polynesian etc

Gaoshan - That's a chunk of your Filipino Side 😂 I prefer using Austronesian rather than Malay because as I observe, Most Indonesians, Malaysians even some Filipinos are not pure Austonesians(Gaoshans) because of Papuan, S Asian etc. admixture... Filipinos esp. have more Austronesian DNA than the rest of our SEAsian brothers. Those in the North (Tribal folks) even are pure Austronesian. Because China claims Taiwan, Gaoshan DNA is stated as Chinese 😂 If Japan claims Taiwan Gaoshan would be Japanese DNA 🤣

As a Filipino, my family always wondered how the hell I could grow more facial hair than your average Filipino. After taking the the test, I found out that I have some rare maternal gene from India. We always suspected that someone up thee line was from India and this confirms it.I thank that ancestor for giving me the ability to grow a beard that is the envy of all my Asian friends. LOL! 🧔

Gaoshan is referring to the Taiwanese aboriginal, ancestors to the Filipino people. Basically it's saying in a different way you're ethnically at least 45% Austronesian Filipino not including the SEA part.
