Junaid, you gave some valid reasons while comparing Bangladesh's achievements relative to Pak achievements but didn't mention the most important factor--that Pakistan is ruled by the Army while Bangladesh' had elections, however flawed; Pakistan's power is given by ISI, as they supposedly removed the popular (in Bangladesh) Imran Khan! There is no stable policymaking as the government changes at the whims of the military.Pakistan's pride has been the military, who is proud of the nuclear bombs that don't provide food, while Bangladesh was always educated, what Bengal thinks today, India thinks decades later (Paraphrased), recognized by Lord Curzon around 1906. Besides, lamenting while invoking 1971 situations is misleading. Before surrendering the Pakistan govt. took all the foreign exchange reserves to Pakistan. And from 1950 to 1070, they took our money to Pakistan while spending less than 50% of Revenues in what was E. Pakistan. Tell this true history to your younger generation instead of crying now for Muslim Brotherhood. Proud Bangladeshi, from Boston, USA(Dr. Mansur).

GDP of Bangladesh is now $428 billion and per capita income has increased to $2854 in 2022. Bangladesh GDP has reduced a little as well as per capita income in the last six months as taka has been devalued from 87 taka per USD to 94 taka per USD. But PKR has been devalued even more, from 156 PKR per 1 USD to 224 Pakistani rupees per USD. Thus the gap may have widened even further.
It is very unfortunate, however. that Bangladesh officials have inherited the art of taking kick back, ( taking ghus) from corrupt Pakistani officials. Recently incidence of kick back has increased even further. Otherwise we could attain double digit growth rate of GDP long before, like China has done.
