As a total non-scientist one question came into my mind after watching this presentation and that is, if the vision we see of the other galaxies took that almost unimaginable time to reach us then how do we know they are still there now?

So I’m guessing we’re unaware of the current existence of these galaxies if we’re seeing them in their present form ?

So which direction to look at the earliest light? If I look the opposite direction from that am I looking at the edge of the universe?

If the universe continues to increase it's rate of expansion velocity to a speed faster than light, this means we will eventually cease to be able see some of the distant galaxies that we currently can through scopes like Hubble and Webb.

So in turn, a civilisation on Andromeda would see dinosaurs roaming the earth if they looked today at us !

The closest object I can see with the naked eye is the Andromeda galaxy? I must have miraculous vision!
