Official video for Far Rider, the latest single from Still Corners.

Ahead of a massive tour throughout Europe and the US this Spring, Still Corners have released their seven-minute desert-noir odyssey, ‘Far Rider’.

With the sun at its peak a weary desert traveller picks their way across the soft sandy floor trying to forget a lost love or maybe a past best forgotten. Crystal clear guitar lines drift in and out as the bass weaves and snakes over a tight drum beat. Tessa Murray croons steady as a pulse, as the song winds like a caravan toward the orange horizon.

Tessa explains, “This song is about leaving, lost love and finding yourself somewhere on the journey, really it’s about redemption. I recently drove 6000 miles across the southwest to feel the sun on my face and think. We used the dreamlike nature of the song to capture the landscape and a hypnotic feel to conjure up the long and lonely travel days.”

Lyrics:
Waiting for the rain to come
Staring at the sand in the baking sun
(here we are on the caravan)
Turn and turn the season wheel
(and I'm hoping we will get so far)
Visions of you time didn't heal

Sun rays stir a memory
Time doesn't matter to me, matter to me

Far rider

Keep on going till I right my mind
The past is gone and I'm still alive
Every time I hear the wind
I feel a change rolling in

Far rider

Keep on going
Keep on going

I could listen to this a 100 times and still feel like it's the first time, definitely one of the best bands out there right now.👍

Wife and I listened to a lot of Still Corners driving from Ontario to BC and back again a few years ago. You listen to this stuff on a Prairie some place and you're gonna feel some things, I tell you what.

So many great elements to their music. Its dream pop with a country flavour, a bit of a Chris Isaak sound and even a little Twin Peaks and Fleetwood Mac too!

Their concert in Warsaw was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Simply amazing.

Their southwest/country inspired stuff is some of their best. I'd like a still corners dream country album.

I love when Youtube suggests something like this to me, I listen and blink my eyes because I can't believe how good it is.

I have 26 of their songs downloaded into my Iphone - if I don't listen to this band at least once a week I go into music "withdrawals". In the car, at home or on layovers - They are so perfect and Tessa's voice is insane - Blues touches to the music are also perfect. One of the best bands

The more I listen to their music I'm hearing Knopfler, Frey, and Isaak's guitars slowed to a more serene tone. ❤🎶🎶🎶🎶

What a surrealistic escape to this dynamite music. The imagery was stunning. I was sad for it to end. It reminded me of my early twenties in Milwaukee when my Cherokee Native friend and her husband a Medicine Man had me over for a special goodbye dinner and presented me with meaningful gifts after playing Native drum music for me while we smoked peyote. They gave me a huge homemade leather intricate dreamcatcher, a few remedies, and a beautiful necklace made of bone and a very nice meal and sang beautifully. On another night teaching me to cook their way, they were in a rough part of Milwaukee, I was new to Milwaukee (grew up in Illinois), They also saved my life from a drive-by shooting at their house and put their lives at risk throwing me in their shower before saving themselves. This song brought back to that night and images of hiking with them and expeditions to shows and learning about preserving our sacred Mother Earth. P.S. Shelia or John the medicine man you changed and blessed my life forever if you see this please comment here. 💓 I wanted to thank you again for all you did for me. I hope Shelia you mom is O.K. if not she was a wonderful lady with sage advice.

I look at my kids faces in photos, on my fridge where I see them every day. And this song makes me think, how quick time goes. This tune has a vintage feel, I long to have them days back. When my kids were little, I miss those dudes ❤️🇬🇧

I just posted this on Facebook. I've never done that before. Felt compelled to share! My new favorite band for sure! I'm 60 years old and my kids love it too!

Some bands lose their essence along the way, but Still Corners remains with its essence and creativity. Simply the best band of all time. Tessa is more beautiful than ever, congratulations 👏👏👏

Even at 7mns this beautiful song is nowhere near long enough.
It could play the whole side of an LP and I'd still want it to be longer.
Her voice is beautiful and the guitar plays to your heart.
