Could Paradox-Free Time Travel REALLY Exist?

Hyperdrive, warp drive, Holtzman drive, we have a lot of names for Faster Than Light speed or FTL space travel in popular science fiction to boldly go where no man has ever gone before. But sadly, in reality, traveling to our nearest neighboring star system is a distant dream and would need us nearly six thousand years to get there. So how come we would ever be able to achieve such a technology that can make us zoom through the entire galaxy in one lifetime or less?

Maybe, never.. because we're not supposed to.. but why?

Welcome to Factnomenal, and let’s find out how FTL (Faster Than Light) travel can create time travel and thus paradoxes.

For every problem, there is a solution.

Hence, if causality is broken through FTL, the then reality becomes past, thus nullifying a paradox.

Saying that causality is unbreakable, is like saying that man could never fly, and then watching the Wright brothers fly at Kitty hawk years later.

You limit yourself only by your imagination, and how your imagination is perceived by the current time.

Hey @Factnomenal, your videos are aways so true and so science related. Science is one of my favorite things.

What incredible wonders must there be out there. However, without breakthrough discoveries in physics, we are limited to our own star system, quite possibility forever. Perhaps in the interim, we should take better care of our small planet while trying to develop interstellar travel.

I love this topic. Utterly fascinating to me. Keep them coming

🤔 Will we ever be able to achieve FTL travel?

After so many years of work.. I found how to travel back and forth in time.. All it needs is a special hole 🕳... 😂❤

The paradox is only if we travel (through space) faster than light. This can not be broken. The only way to travel faster than light is to travel through a wormhole. We will have to see sometime in the future if that is even possible.

For the most part, I believe that anything that we can think of is possible, within reason. For instance how 50s 60s and 70s sci fi tech has been made reality in many instances such as cell phones because people worked on the idea.

I think just high speeds or light speed will do just fine for quite some time. Let us first continue development of the Ion drive, if seems the most promising.
Finding ways to give us more control, speed up faster and put on the brakes. Would be a lovely development.

The way causality would not break is for each travel back in time tp creates a new time line, that is for ever split off from the time line you came from.

The method I used for a story, is seeding interstellar space/other galaxies over a very long time, with a advanced quantum entanglement method of communication and teleportation. (Manipulating one side of the entanglement to achieve a desired reaction on the other end of the entanglement. A communication enraglment packet, would have billions of entangled particles which is used as a binary format. The transportation version is far more complicated but in a way similar to the compaks, but it only transfers conciousness to waiting vessels from one end of the entanglement to another) d>_0b *no ftl required but energy consumption will be a factor, until we discover a easily harvested new form of energy. The communication/ entanglement/binary version could be done within a few years or even now with the right setup.

“Present” is the 0 point simultaneously moving from now, into future, and out of the former now. 0 can’t be an individual space rather all spaces simultaneously, constantly in motion

It's rlly cool that not a week after another part of space with Markiplier this comes out which in case the wormhole/warpdrive caused a universe ending paradox

Question: What's about quantum tunnelling? Doesn't the wave packet of the wave function violate causality when it's transmitted through the barrier and therefore is transmitted with FTL speeds?

I've always thought that the argument for light cones to be fallacious; I can't quite put my finger on why.

i wonder if even any of our builds can travel into deep space let alone us. And, nor forgetting we use a lot of hypotheses to make predictions.

In my opinion: The faster you travel. The faster time goes by for you. Touching lightspeed would mean all time in no time. But at the moment matter reaches lightspeed. It becomes light...

Math is simply a way to explain the patterns and nature of the universe and does not rule over it. To break the barriers we see we have to have a way to convert energy similar to how the universe does when we speed up, but in the opposite way to counter speed increasing mass. This however might cause the time to dilate in a strange way too.
