Simple Stories Domestic Bliss Mini Album Tutorial

Chipboard - Cut (2) at 8" x 6" and (1) at 8" x 2.25'

Stack the Deck Binding Method - Cut the following and score on the shorter side of each at .75" on each end:
1.75" x 7.50", 2.25" x 7.50", 2.75" x 7.50", 3.25" x 7.50"

Base Pages: Cut (8) at 5.50" x 7.50", no scoring. Cut (8) at 5.50" x 8.50" and score on the 8.50" side at .50" on each end.

Front Cover Belly Band - Cut (1) at 3.25" x 9" and score on the 9" side at .50" on each end.

Back cover pocket - Cut (1) at 4.50" x 9" and score on the 4.50" side at .50" and on the 9" side at .50" on each end.

Page 1 (Front) - Cut (1) card insert at 6.25" x 8.50" and score on the 8.50" side at 4.25". (Back) - Cut (2) flaps at 4.25" x 4.75" and score on the 4.75" side at .50".

Page 2 (Front) - Cut (1) pocket at 3.50" x 6.50" and score on the 3.50" side at .50" and on the 6.50" side at .50" on each end. (Back) Card insert - same measurements as page 1 front.

Page 3 (Front) - Cut (1) belly band at 3.25" x 8.50" and score on the 8.50" side at .50" on each end. (Back) Left Blank

Page 4 (Front) - Card insert - same measurements as page 1 front. (Back) Cut (1) flap at 4.75" x 6.25" and score on the 4.75" side at .50".

Page 5 (Front) - Cut (1) belly band at 2" x 6.50" and score on the 6.50" side at .50" on each end. (Back) For accordion fold - cut (1) at 4.25" x 4.25", no scoring. Cut (2) at 4.25" x 4.75" and score on the 4.75" side at .50".

Page 6 (Front) - Cut (1) large card insert at 10" x 7" and score on the 10" side at 5". (Back) Cut (1) pocket at 4" x 6.50" and score on the 4" side at .50" and on the 6.50" side at .50" on each end.

Page 7 (Front) - Cut (1) large card insert at 10" x 7" and score on the 10" side at 5". (Back) Left Blank

Page 8 (Front) - Cut (1) pocket at 4" x 6.50" and score on the 4" side at .50" and on the 6.50" side at .50" on each end. (Back) Card insert - same measurements as page 1 front.

Large pull out photo mats are 5.25" x 7.25"

Thanks so much for this great tutorial! I’m about to start my Christmas mini albums to give as gifts this year and this is perfect since I’m a beginner. I understood everything except the need for extra card stock for the stack the deck hinge. What would be the measurements and where should it be placed?

Hi Lori, I enjoyed the tutorial on youtube, but I think there are some missing instructions here. I don't see the back of the pages and the inside back covers. I enjoy all your tutorials, they are very clear on concise. TFS. Marie

Do you add patterned paper to the base pages before adhering the pocket?

I have never used wet glue before on mini albums and you seem to use alot of it...do you have any problems with it seeming out? Does that glue dry tacky? Thanks! Love this tutorial!

I adore all your mini albums and projects. I was wondering why you used the stack a deck here instead of your usual hidden hinge binding? Any pros and cons you see in using either? Thanks for sharing. Also i requested to follow you in fb!

I'm having an issues I'm following your tutorial and I cut some base pages at 5.50 x8.50 and when I go to score at .50 on the 8.50 side It looks nothing like what u have the score mark on mine would leave no space to fold over I did something wrong but I measured right ? I'm using a Martha Stewart's score board ?! Please help ty Janet
