So, I was in KC over the weekend and visited the Negro Leagues Museum yesterday morning. When you first enter, there is a small theater where visitors can watch a 16 minute video narrated by James Earl Jones (who better, right?). In the first 5 minutes, "that word" is prominently displayed on the screen several times to drive some points across. I was somewhat shocked and then immediately thought of this gaffe. Had he watched the same thing while visiting and was it imprinted on his mind only for it to pop out at a bad time? Why would he visit such a museum if he was some kind of racist? He obviously enjoyed the visit there (it's a great place). I think the guy needs to be given a break. If society wants that word to "go away", then don't use it in ANY context for any reason.
