Nutcrackers Movie Review - Ben Stiller stars in a dramady about 4 brothers who lose their parents. Ben Stiller has to watch them until a new family adopts them. Nutcrackers attempts to tell a fun, feel-good story but really never finds the right rhythm. It's not terrible but it's also not terribly interesting.

Some parts were alright, but I expected Ben Stiller to be way funnier. The movie also could've had more of that Christmas vibe. It just felt like it couldn’t decide what it wanted to be.

I couldn't stand the kids. Like not at all. Not a single scene. I stuck with it, thinking it was gonna get better. No chemistry between Stiller and the social worker, which is obviously where they were headed. The last scene of the boys dancing ballet the only worthwhile scene of the whole movie. Total waste of my time and I have a pretty low bar When it comes to silly Christmas movies

It’s hard to explain how much I hated this movie… there wasn’t a single character that was a real person. None of the situations were realistic in anyway. Did not laugh a single time. I hated the kids, did not care about their fate, the town, the farm, was not charming. It was truly hell on earth. If I was stiller I would have spent 2 seconds there and left… literally hell on earth is what that farm was, and what that town was. Hates this movie more than can be expressed

I happened to like it pretty good. Directing and cinematography were very good and story wasn't to shabby, but we have seen it before. I know grief was glossed over which was a missed opportunity, but it left me with a pretty good feeling at the end. Ben was fine in it. I am not saying it was amazing, but I did like it. But yes some of your critiques are valid, but to me the pros outweighed the cons in this movie by some, but I can see someone not loving this film.

This is exactly how I felt about this movie, but I think my wife and I made it like 30mins before we shut it off. It is really terrible and an unlike-able movie.

Watched this with my roommates and we kind of all hated it, most of the movie didn't make sense and lots of plot points come out of nowhere, feels like a worse version of Despicable Me. I don't know why it was portrayed as a holiday movie when it didn't seem like one 85% of the time and we all found it depressing. I feel bad for the kids, they did pretty decent and I'm sure they had a blast making the movie

I thought the writer's strike was over, this crap is the most generic christmas movie ever. Adding in 3 androgenous looking kids is so transparent pandering. And they are BALLET dancers. Maybe the feel good BS would work if the exact same storyline was not used in a thousand movies already. You can lierally tell what will happen the first 10 minutes. Ben you let us down BIGTIME!

I respectfully disagree completely. I thought the movie was a breath of fresh air, funny, quirky, and interesting. Not to mention it had a beautiful ending with great metaphors and a deeper meaning

Saw this last night. It was so strange; and what got me was the terrible soundtrack and weird zoom in shots that would land on a chicken for like 2 seconds… As noted in the review here, the Christmas part is the literal final act and it was awkward. And forced drama on top of that.

This is depressing, Ben Stiller used to be a comedy safe bet- There's Something About Mary, Zoolander, etc. Is he going down the Robert DeNiro, I have a shit ton of bills to pay, so I'll star in anything for a check, road? I hope not!

This is about as well written as Moana 2, I mean a kid could write better movies than we have been getting. They have NEGATIVE creativity and such lazy writing with gaping plot holes and unfinished character arcs...I mean WTF is going on? How can they spend MILLIONS on a movie when you could pay some guy 500$ that could write a better screenplay than all the recent movies have
