ALLMAN FAMILY REVIVAL | One Way Out | Eric Gales, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jake Andrews

I had an amazing time playing at ACL Moody Theater Tuesday night with the 'Allman Family Revival'. The lineup of artists touring on this show is ridiculous-Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Eric Gales, Samantha Fish, legendary 'Wet Willie' vocalist Jimmy Hall, Robert Randolph, Luther Dickinson, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Ivan Neville on keys, the LEGENDARY George Porter Jr. from 'The Meters' on bass, and of course Duane Betts and Devon Allman of the 'Allman Betts Band' hosting the entire entourage. Had great fun playing with my friend Kenny Wayne Shepherd-we first met in Memphis when I was 14 and he was 17:) The final jams on 'One Way Out' and 'Midnight Rider' were ridiculous with everyone onstage at one time-it was like the miracle of the loaves and fishes as somehow there were enough amps for everyone to play out of! A great honor to be a part of this show. Of course, I had to throw down backstage and show Robert Randolph some new tricks...he said "Damn Jake, don't be surprised if you hear that jam show up on my new album!" My solo is at 02:50 :)
