Gen.G deserved to win the tournament because they played spectacularly against KT and T1, before reaching the semifinal they didn't seem so firm but the last 2 series were impeccable.
KT and T1 played very well but none could match Gen.G, the evolution of this team is incredible.

as a t1 fan I never thought I'd be saying this but they just got outplayed. especially zeus. he got gapped by doran the entire series. ggs, hopefully they're able to come back for msi and world's, and yeah congrats to geng, they played amazingly.

I agree that t1 needs to work on handling pressure. even if they destroy everyone in groups or even in the first part of playoffs, if they can't show up in the finals then its all for nothing. hope they can learn from this series and come back stronger.

4:09:43 - actually you can see Peyz DID get the cannon kill, his CS was at 16 after killing the last ranged minion and ticks over to 17 when the camera moves to mid. It looks like he misses it because the +gold text is almost blocked out by the observer's positioning and Lulu right on top of Jinx.

GenG 100% deserved this win. They played and drafted better. T1 drafting was borderline disrespectful and they got punished for it. I don’t think this means T1 will suddenly stop winning but it’s a slap in the face for a team who thought they’d get by in the finals on pure intimidation + skill.
Also, Chovy’s drafting is always top tier while Faker gets handed Veigar TWICE? Such a bad pick for this proactive and aggressive version of Faker we’ve been seeing lately.

In my opinion, this should be the most valuable win for most of these players on GenG. Winning as underdogs against the titans of T1 this split was huge for their confidence.
