My guest is Linda Karanzalis, MS, author of Misnamed, Misdiagnosed, Misunderstood, a book about recognizing and coping with NVLD (Nonverbal Learning Disorder) from Childhood through Adulthood. In her book, Linda shares her own experience as a child, teen, and adult battling undiagnosed nonverbal learning disorder (NVLD) before professionals realized it even existed. This is a must have book for parents, educators and professionals.
Linda is a former special educator and a board certified cognitive specialist. In 1997, she founded ADDvantages Learning Center, one of the first in the U.S. to meet the needs of the neurodivergent population. Linda is an ambassadour for the NVLD Project, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those with NVLD.
In this interview, Linda will share her NVLD insights and strategies to empower parents and professionals . She serves as a role model, offering understanding, hope and tools to parents and NVLD'ers of all ages. I hope you enjoy the interview.
