Tea house details ⬇️

This is definitely one of my favorite hikes. It was the first hike where I was able to relax with a cup of rooibos tea at the end.

Lake Agnes Tea House is 3.5 km (2.1 miles) from Lake Louise in Banff National Park.

This hike is beautiful! You start at Lake Louise, and hike uphill for a little over 2 miles.

You’ll see beautiful views of Lake Louise. You’ll hike by a second lake, a small waterfall, climb some stairs, and arrive at the tea house, which sits across from Lake Agnes.

The hike is challenging. But all of my kids made it to the top. I climb it twice! I went up at sunrise by myself, and then returned with my family around lunch time.

The tea house is super cute with great views. It was built in 1901. Sit outside if you can. You can also take the tea & food to go and sit near the lake. They serve sandwiches, cookies, all types of loose leaf tea, and the tea bicsuits are yummy.

Be sure to explore the area around Lake Agnes. The views are great, and you can see the top of the waterfall.

You can continue to the Beehive trail or head back down, which is what we did.

This out and back trail is 4.2 miles total.
