Michael Kiwanuka saw album 'Love & Hate' reach number one and received a Mercury Prize for follow-up 'Kiwanuka', produced by Danger Mouse and Inflo. His soul pop is alternately funky, then rocking and sometimes even leans towards gospel. 'Home Again' is a permanent fixture in the Top 2000. With 'On My Knees' he joined the illustrious list of vocalists – Thom Yorke, Richard Ashcroft, Mark Lanegan – who collaborated with UNKLE. It is not surprising that Kiwanuka was allowed to add its tenth season in the Champions League of singer/songwriters in 2021.
